Andrew has been Hanson Bridgett’s Managing Partner for more than 10 years. Under Andrew's leadership, Hanson Bridgett has grown to be in the top 10 firms in San Francisco and expanded its operations to Sacramento, Silicon Valley, and the East Bay.
As a practicing attorney, Andrew is an experienced trial lawyer who has served as lead counsel on numerous eight figure construction and real estate claims for major public and private owners, "ENR Top 50" designers, developers and contractors, along with regional architectural, engineering, development and construction firms, including: the University of California, The City and County of San Francisco, the Modesto Irrigation District, URS Corporation and its subsidiaries, Prologis and its subsidiaries, Catellus Development Corporation and its subsidiaries, Intracorp, Swinerton, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Environmental Chemical Corporation.
Andrew devotes a substantial amount of time and energy to leadership in the community. He is currently the president of Legal Aid of Marin and a member of the Executive Committee for the Bay Area Council, as well as the Chair of its Government Relations Committee. He has also served as a board member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the San Francisco Education Fund.

Currently representing the America’s Cup Event Authority in matters relating to the implementation of the America's Cup event in San Francisco for 2013.
Represented top ten global provider of distribution facilities as outside litigation counsel with nationwide responsibility for overseeing its construction, real estate, and environmental litigation projects, including a $90 million affirmative claim for infrastructure reimbursement under a development and owner participation agreement and a dispute seeking $196 million in alleged damages as a result of a failed major league baseball stadium project.
Represented major municipality in a series of construction and constitutional claims seeking in excess of $81 million in damages, including a three week jury trial in federal court; representation of a regional irrigation district with defective construction of a water treatment plant requiring in excess of $10 million in corrective work.
Represented world class music conservatory in connection with contractor claims for additional costs relating to the construction of its new education and performance facility.
Represented major university against a contractor’s claim for additional costs arising from MEP conflicts at a research and teaching facility.
Represented national real estate developer in connection with the remediation of defective infrastructure improvements in San Francisco.
Represented West Coast developer of residential towers on the first LEED® Certified condominium project in San Francisco in connection with claims for contractor delays and insurance coverage.
Represented major university in connection with construction of a world class hospital and research facility in San Francisco.
Represented international defense contractor in connection with claims relating to the federal government project to remediate waste and debris in New Orleans following hurricane Katrina.
Represented West Coast geotechnical engineering firm in connection with subrogation claims resulting from the alleged failure of a shoring wall in a downtown San Francisco high-rise project.
