Anita's practice covers a broad range of real estate and corporate transactions that spans corporate formation; private equity and financings; debt financings; commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions and related mortgage backed financings; corporate mergers and acquisitions; leasing; and tax exempt bond financings.
Anita is part of the firm's unique and highly specialized practice area that focuses on primarily representing clients in the senior housing and long term care industries in various complex commercial real estate transactions, including purchase, sale, leasing, management, and financing transactions. This focus includes assisting with regulatory matters and interfacing with state regulators on issues related to licensure.
Anita represents a variety of clients in all aspects of operation and for various transactional needs, from start-up and emerging growth companies, to non-profit and tax exempt entities, to large institutional investors. Anita advises many large public agency pension plans in the review and negotiation of their investments in private equity, mezzanine debt, hedge fund, and real estate investment trusts and funds.
While at Boalt Hall, Anita served as an extern for Judge Hamilton of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
