David is chair of the firm's 30-attorney real estate section. He specializes in complex real estate secured transactions and related debt and equity financing arrangements. David also provides corporate, tax, and licensing and distribution expertise to the firm's agribusiness clients. In connection with his real estate practice, David is a LEED® accredited professional who provides specialized green building services to owners and developers. David's recent credits include serving as lead counsel for the development of 200,000 square food processing facility. The development utilized integrated delivery and LEAN design processes and is planned for LEED® silver certification.
As a section leader, David is responsible for section wide strategic planning and implementation as well as the professional development of his section members. He brings these same leadership skills to project management in his legal practice.
David is a frequent speaker and writer on real estate finance and green building topics.
