Rich devotes much of his time serving as the general counsel of Osprey Management & Capital, LLC, an investment/management concern focusing on the construction of "edge of network" infrastructure for wireless telecommunications providers (e.g., cell towers, utility focused telecom attachments and related fiber optic backhaul services) and the acquisition, management and consolidation of fiber optic telecommunication systems.
Previously, Rich served as special counsel to Handspring, working on its Treo line of personal communicators, and as the associate general counsel of Imagine Media, Inc. (aka Future US, Inc.), a publisher of business and technology related magazines such as Mac Addict, PC Gamer, and the Official Xbox Magazine.
In his private practice, Rich represents closely held technology and emerging growth companies and their founders, with an emphasis on M&A, private placements, executive compensation, estate planning, and the ownership, licensing and the protection of intellectual property. With respect to his tax practice, Rich handles a diverse mix of federal, state, and local tax planning, compliance and controversy matters. He also remains actively involved in real-time transitory photonic painting (i.e., stage and theatrical lighting).
