Wendy L. Tauriainen

Wendy assists clients with employee benefits, business transactions and related tax issues. Wendy advises employers on benefits and compensation issues. This includes work with ERISA compliance, fiduciary responsibility, financing, tax, regulatory issues and organizational integrity.

Wendy represents clients in connection with the formation, restructuring and maintenance of business entities. She has experience with mergers, acquisitions and succession planning.

Representative Work

Worked as part of a team to represent a large public sector client in the successful settlement of a multi-million dollar IRS employment tax audit of fringe benefits.

Provided analysis of available federal, state and local tax credits to clean energy company client.

Prepared offers in compromise of client's federal and state taxes in connection with the sale of a business.

Currently assists a public agency retirement board by attending board meetings and providing advice on fiduciary and other plan issues.

Regularly reviews plan documents and provides advice on Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, health care reform and other issues for private employee benefits plans.
