Our insurance recovery group is unique. We combine an understanding of the law with an understanding of the insurance industry to represent insureds and insurance brokers and agents. As recovery specialists, we often are able to achieve practical resolution of disputes without the need for costly litigation. Our full understanding of the rights and duties of all the parties involved in the insurance relationship makes our group one of the few able to assist insureds, agents and brokers consistently and successfully. Agent and broker clients, in particular, appreciate our ability to resolve their clients’ claims without disturbing their own relationships with their markets.
When a problem cannot be resolved and the need for litigation arises, we have the resources and experience necessary to maintain large litigation in a cost-effective manner. For example, we have acted as national coverage counsel in multi-insurer complex coverage disputes. Major coverage litigation requires state-of-the-art techniques, and we have complete computerized litigation management and multimedia capabilities. Our attorneys understand the appropriate use of technology, and they know how and when the tools are used effectively.
Education and Training
We are also approved providers of continuing education credit for agents and brokers. We offer approved programs on errors and omissions and proper claims handling procedures. We generally present these programs upon request at “brown bag” lunches at an agent's or broker's place of business.
