Sophia B. Belloli is a member of Hanson Bridgett's public agency, litigation, environmental and water practice groups. Sophia represents both public entity and private clients, and frequently litigates water rights, water quality, land use and environmental matters in state and federal courts. Sophia is experienced in water rights disputes and transfers, as well as citizen suits brought under the Clean Water Act and California's Proposition 65, and compliance with state and federal environmental laws. Sophia also counsels government clients with respect to Prop. 218 compliance.
Sophia has taught legal writing and research to first-year law students at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and contributed articles to Argent Communications Group's California Water Law & Policy Reporter.
As a law student, Sophia externed with the Honorable A. Wallace Tashima, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, in Pasadena, California.
