James F. Geary is a veteran litigator with more than 30 years experience. James specializes in health, business, and real estate litigation, with extensive jury and court trial experience in professional liability suits, licensing and certification of health providers, elder abuse, qui tam actions and real property disputes. He is also active in representing medical staffs in credentialing and peer review hearings, and providing related advice.

With the rapid growth of alternative dispute resolution hearings, James has participated in numerous civil arbitrations, administrative hearings, and mediations at both the state and federal level. He has frequently presided as judge pro tem in Sacramento Superior Court settlement conferences and regularly provides advice to businesses and health care clients in an effort to prevent disputes from developing into litigation matters. James has practiced before state and federal courts throughout California, as well as a number of jurisdictions in other states.
