Richard Adler specializes in business bankruptcy, creditor/debtor rights and remedies, distressed real estate transactions and mergers and acquisitions. He advises clients in connection with workouts, restructurings and insolvency matters and a broad spectrum of bankruptcy disputes and issues. Richard has extensive experience litigating in bankruptcy court (relief from stay and other contested motions practice, adversary proceedings, plan confirmation hearings, etc.) and has represented Chapter 11 debtors in possession, unsecured creditors' committees, secured lenders, landlords and buyers in bankruptcy cases.

Other Experience and Awards: Elected Northern California Super Lawyer (2005 to 2010). Author and/or Co-Author of Chapter 11 (Enforcing Secured Loans Against Debtors in Bankruptcy) of CEB's California Mortgage and Deed of Trust Practice (2000 to 2005); Co-Author of the annual supplement to CEB's California Real Property Financing, Vol. 2 Workouts and Bankruptcy (1996 to 1999); Mediator, Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California (1994 to 1996).
