John T. Cu is an experienced and versatile attorney with over 20 successful jury trials to verdict. John's extensive litigation practice includes representing Fortune 500 corporations in various industries such as health and fitness, automotive, retail, pharmaceutical, financial and manufacturing. John also represents government agencies in state and federal court litigation. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes on behalf of policy holders, product liability, intellectual property, public agency litigation and securities litigation before the NASD. Although known for being an aggressive advocate, John is also a noted negotiator, always mindful of his clients' business and operational goals in litigation. In matters where it serves his clients' business objectives, John successfully crafts creative solutions that allow for cost-efficient resolution of matters through private negotiation, mediation, arbitration and other means of alternate dispute resolution.

In addition to his broad litigation experience, John also practices in the area of corporate and business transactions. He currently acts as General Counsel to three entities in mutually distinct industries: a software company; an emerging satellite media company; and a design clothing apparel sole proprietorship. For these companies, John provides legal counsel in the areas of contract negotiation and formation, licensing, intellectual property and general risk management, as well as general business and operational advice.

John also served as a deputy district attorney in the County of Contra Costa, where he managed the misdemeanor trial team.
