Linda Klamm has specialized in handling insurance disputes for more than 30 years and today serves as the firm’s Insurance Recovery Practice Chair. Linda represents policy holders, insurances brokers and agents. During the first half of her career Linda represented insurers and was one of Fireman's Fund Insurance Company's national coordinating counsel for Environmental Coverage litigation. Now Linda uses her insurance industry inside knowledge and experience to maximize recoveries for policy holders.
Representative Matters
- A 50+ million dollar recovery resulted from Linda’s defeat of the insurers’ assertion that policy terms negated coverage. This was a matter where she represented one of the nation's largest providers of long term and acute care in a dispute with its insurers over coverage for over 500 claims against the company. Linda was able to negotiate a settlement whereby the insurers agreed to provide full coverage for defense and indemnity for these claims resulting in payments of millions in insurance proceeds.
- A quarter million dollar insurance payment flowed in after only a few months of effort costing the client less than $10,000. This insurer had repeatedly denied the claim for over a year when the company sought assistance from Linda.
- This personal injury suit presented a multi-million dollar verdict potential and punitive damage exposure. The insurer declined the client’s claim for coverage, and this policy holder turned to Linda for help. In less than two weeks, she convinced the insurer to accept coverage for the matter and pay in excess of $2 million to settle the claim.
Litigation Experience
Linda has tried more than 30 cases and arbitrated or mediated more than 100 matters.
