Software Trainer

Hanson Bridgett LLP is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated software trainer for full-time employment.

Eligible candidates must possess the following skills and experience:

  • At least two years law firm training experience
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and apply knowledge
  • Strong communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and presentation skills

Experience in teaching the following applications:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • FileSite
  • Legal MacPac
  • Microsystems Product Suite (mainly DocXtools)
  • Esquire Innovations products (iRedline and iScrub)
  • Deal Proof
  • Adobe Acrobat

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, implement and deliver technology training for all members of the firm through classroom training, workshops and one-to-one training
  • Plan and deliver firm wide rollouts of new or upgraded technology
  • Plan, implement and deliver new hire orientation and training to all firm employees
  • Draft end user documentation
  • Assess individual training needs and learning styles and assist human resources and departmental managers to develop appropriate training plans
  • Update and maintain the training curriculum and documentation
  • Perform MacPac administration duties (database management, update forms)
  • Serve as a training resource to the Help Desk Specialists
  • Other duties as assigned

Help Desk Specialist—San Francisco

Hanson Bridgett LLP seeks a Help Desk Specialist that will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm's help desk.

The Help Desk Specialist is the first level of user support and monitors all incoming calls received on a dedicated help desk line, as well as inquiries that are received via email. All inquires are entered into an automated ticketing system. Issues are resolved over the phone, deskside or by connecting remotely to the user's computer. The Help Desk Specialist is responsible for providing media duplication services, equipment delivery and equipment set-ups. The Help Desk Specialist may be called upon to assist with familiarizing employees with the firm's computer systems, software and phone system, as well as perform additional duties as assigned. Candidates for this position must have a strong understanding of word processing in a legal environment.

Records Coordinator

We are looking for someone to coordinate work flow for the firm records department, develop and maintain excellent customer service for the firm, help at desks when work flow becomes heavy and ensure compliance with records policies and procedures. We are looking for someone who already knows legal records management. We have a great team and would like to add you to the mix!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enhance end user service and relationships
  • Communicate policies and procedures and act as liaison with the end users at the firm that use the records program
  • Coordinate work flow of records staff and help them to set priorities including arranging for adequate coverage when staff are absent; assessing need for overtime
  • Support records staff by helping to identify loose documents and place in the correct file (seeking input from end users when clarification is needed), create new files conforming to current policies and procedures; index pleadings conforming to current policies and procedures; shelve files, shift files when needed; index files for offsite storage and help move boxes of client files around the firm
  • Train staff in the above where needed
  • Work with records clerks to maintain a clean and organized file room
  • Audit records database and correct errors in system and variances from current policies and procedures as they are found
  • Work with clerks to create desk documents detailing the work done at each desk
  • Assist Case Clerks in maintenance and organization of work rooms
  • Adhere to and help enforce firm records policies and procedures
  • Adhere to general safety practices and to any unique departmental safety guidelines

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability in work product, especially in data entry and in conforming to firm records policy
  • Able to identify and scan legal documents for content
  • Proficient in electronic records management systems, preferably ELITE
  • Able to shift files in compact shelving area
  • Able to move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Knowledge of Word and Outlook required
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to proactively identify problem areas and communicate them to appropriate individuals
  • Holds oneself accountable for performance, takes ownership and champions the quality delivery of service
