Portfolio Success for the Global Citizen:
The impact of sustainability on portfolios and corporations
Sustainability: "Meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs." [Bruntland 1987]
As awareness of environmental, social, and governance factors increases, investors increasingly want portfolios that don't conflict with their values. This session will discuss how money and values can be combined, and explore the interplay between companies and investors when the theme is sustainability. What are companies doing to be sustainable? What do investors want companies to be doing? How can investors evaluate the sustainability of companies? How much of an impact does sustainability investing have on companies? Join Richard Stone, CEO of Private Ocean , as he leads a panel discussion to answer these questions and offer guidance to investors interested in investing more deliberately.
