Hanson Bridgett's Sacramento Office Gets Certified as a Sustainable Business
Hanson Bridgett LLP announced today that its Sacramento office is now a certified sustainable business. The firm is one of only two law firms to have achieved this status in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, and Yolo Counties.
Sacramento certified sustainable businesses pledge to conserve energy and water, prevent pollution, reduce waste, and implement green building practices. In obtaining this certification, Hanson Bridgett pledged to be in compliance with the environmental regulations set forth by the Business Environmental Resource Center (BERC), and to continue its sustainability efforts for a minimum of three years.
Hanson Bridgett launched its sustainability profile when the City of San Francisco granted the firm's San Francisco office its Green Certification in 2008. Hanson Bridgett's Sacramento certification is an important step in continuing the firm's commitment to sustainability efforts. In addition to this latest sustainable certification, Hanson Bridgett has launched similar efforts in connection with its Marin and Silicon Valley offices.
"In the past year, Hanson Bridgett has taken advantage of opportunities to expand its Sacramento office, and, as a result, has seen significant growth in its core practice areas," said Bill Taylor, Managing Partner of Hanson Bridgett's Sacramento Office. "As we continue to grow and become a more influential presence in this region, it is important that we make every effort to serve as a role model in the Sacramento community. Our sustainable business certification allows us to lead by example."
