Hanson Bridgett Nabs Two Top Business Partners from Carroll, Burdick & McDonough

Hanson Bridgett LLP announced today that Partners Eric S. Clarke and Michael Y. Lateef have joined the firm's San Francisco office, expanding the firm's Business Section. Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Mr. Clarke and Mr. Lateef were Partners at Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP, a national and international business and litigation law firm.

Mr. Clarke counsels public and private companies in corporate mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions, and the licensing and development of intellectual property. Mr. Clarke served as the Chair of Carroll, Burdick & McDonough's Corporate Group from 2004 until his election to join Hanson Bridgett. Mr. Lateef, who holds a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University, counsels public and private companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, secured transactions and real estate transactions. In particular, he has extensive experience counseling companies in connection with the tax implications of acquisitions and dispositions of stock and assets by both public and private companies.

Hanson Bridgett's Business clients come from extremely diverse sectors of the economy. The addition of Mr. Clarke and Mr. Lateef will serve to further diversify the firm's client base. Both attorneys have extensive experience counseling public and private companies in all aspects of corporate law and will allow the firm to expand its corporate practice significantly.
