Hanson Bridgett Adds Six Attorneys to its Ranks (February 9, 2011) 

Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce the addition of six attorneys to its San Francisco office. Ron Wynn, Counsel, joins Hanson Bridgett’s Intellectual Property practice, and associates Jessica Elgort, and Adam Gopin, and first-year associates Danielle Hinton, Leah Sykes, and Angela Clements also join the firm. This news comes on the heels of ten attorney promotions in December.

About Hanson Bridgett's New Attorneys 

Ron Wynn joins the firm’s Intellectual Property and Litigation practices. He specializes in patent infringement, trade secret, and other intellectual property litigation across a range of industries including telecommunications, medical devices, and media. Before joining the firm, Ron was an IP litigation partner at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, Vice President & General Counsel for Turin Networks, Inc., and a patent litigator at Howrey LLP. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 1982, and his B.A., from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1978. 

Jessica Elgort joins in the firm’s Health Care section. She focuses on representing and counseling various health care entities including hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and continuing care retirement communities. She advises health care clients on a broad range of issues such as medical staff peer review proceedings, credentialing, licensing, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance. She received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2008, and her B.A. from University of California, Davis in 2000. 

Adam Gopin joins in the Business section. He regularly represents public, private and emerging growth companies in a broad range of general business and finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, asset and stock purchases, commercial transactions, federal and state securities law compliance, licensing issues and other general corporate matters. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 2005, and his B.A. from Stanford University in 1997. 

Danielle Hinton worked for the Bay Area Legal Aid in Oakland prior to joining the firm. There she assisted in post-eviction foreclosure cases and cases involving the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. She helped organize and coordinate the opening of the BayLegal Justice on Wheels Clinic at Alameda County Juvenile Hall and assisted with cases in the Juvenile Hall Mental Health Collaborative Court. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2010, and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. 

Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Leah Sykes worked in the Family Law unit for the Greater Boston Legal Service. She assisted in all aspects of divorce and paternity cases representing low-income women who are victims of domestic violence. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco in 2010, and her B.A., cum laude, Dean's List, from Brandeis University in 2004. 

Angela Clements joins the firm from the City and County of San Francisco's City Attorney's Office. Angela has also worked as a federal lobbyist for the nation's largest civil rights organization advocating for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights, representing the organization's legislative priorities on Capitol Hill and within the Executive Branch. She was responsible for developing and executing a proactive federal legislative strategy related to employment nondiscrimination, international, family and military issues. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2009, and her B.A., with distinction and honors, from the University of Nebraska in 2002.
