Hanson Bridgett Announces Promotions
Four new partners named

January 2, 2015 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) — Hanson Bridgett LLP announces several elevations including four new partners. Edward M. Bernard, Michael J. Gorback, Megan Oliver Thompson and Miles C. Holden are partners. The firm is also pleased to announce that Landon D. Bailey, Shannon M. Nessier, and Jennifer M. Martinez have been promoted to Senior Counsel. All promotions are effective January 1, 2015.

Ed Bernard counsels private, nonprofit and public employers regarding all aspects of retirement health plan design, implementation and compliance. He has more than 20 years experience in employee benefits and qualified pension plan administration.

Mike Gorback has led the firm’s effort to develop a technology practice within the Business Section. He represents private and public technology companies at all stages of growth, in addition to the venture capital and angel investors that invest in technology companies.

Megan Oliver Thompson represents businesses, individuals, and public agencies in a wide range of civil matters in state and federal court. Megan's practice covers a full range of business-related litigation involving contract disputes, franchise issues, fraud and unfair business practices, professional malpractice, and disability access.

Miles Holden specializes in litigation, with a focus on insurance recovery and construction matters. He has litigated commercial insurance coverage actions, construction-related disputes, and other cases in both state and federal courts.

Landon Bailey’s litigation practice focuses on corporate governance and shareholder disputes, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters, and commercial disputes involving contracts, business torts, and unfair competition laws.

Shannon Nessier focuses on representing the firm's litigation clients. Her work concerns the defense of product manufacturers and suppliers in personal injury litigation, as well as defense in Toxic Tort claims.

Jennifer Martinez represents employers in federal and state court litigation and before administrative agencies regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and numerous other types of employment law matters.
