Hanson Bridgett Grows Associate Ranks

February 19, 2015 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) — Hanson Bridgett LLP continues its growth trend into 2015 with additional associate hires. The firm is pleased to welcome associates Ashley Baltazar, Eorl Carlson, Emily Fulmer and Tara Shabahang to its San Francisco office.

"2014 was a year of growth for the firm and we are continuing this path in 2015. Our client roster is growing and we are expanding our ranks to ensure the delivery of top notch legal advice across a broad spectrum of practices," said Andrew Giacomini, the firm's managing partner.

Ashley Baltazar focuses her practice on labor and employment law. She represents clients in employment matters, including wage and hour, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases in state and federal courts. Ashley received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2012 and her B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009.

Eorl Carlson focuses his practice on employee benefits, executive compensation, and tax law. He has experience researching and writing memoranda on ERISA Title IV and tax qualification issues, including required and discretionary plan amendments, involuntary plan termination, and ERISA §4062(e) liability. Eorl received his LL.M., Tax, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015, his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2012, his LL.M. from the University of Aberdeen School of Law in 2008 and his B.A. from Cornell University in 2007.

Emily Fulmer joins our labor and employment section. She represents private and public employers in federal and state court litigation and before administrative agencies. Emily also advises employers with respect to local, California, and federal labor and employment laws, including discrimination and harassment, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodation, collective bargaining, wage and hour, reductions in force, and employee discipline. She received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2011 and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007.

Tara Shabahang focuses on transactional and litigation matters for the firm’s real estate and construction clients. She has experience with various complex commercial real estate transactions, including purchase, sale, leasing, management, and financing transactions. She also represents clients in a diverse range of litigation matters, including lease and contract actions, debt collection cases, and bankruptcy proceedings. Tara received her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2014 and her B.A. from Amherst College in 2009.
