Hanson Bridgett LLP Expands Healthcare and Real Estate Practices With Addition of Four Attorneys to Its Sacramento Office (October 31, 2008)

Hanson Bridgett announced today that four additional attorneys will join its Sacramento office. Janet C. Eisenbeis, William S. Hunter, Win R. Richey and James F. Geary join the firm from Sacramento-based Hunter Richey & Eisenbeis, LLP, which will be closing its firm.

"Healthcare and real estate are two of our firm's core practice areas and Jan, Bill, Win and Jim are a natural fit. We're very pleased to have them join the firm," said Managing Partner Andrew Giacomini. "A major aspect of the firm's strategic plan is growing core practice areas within the firm, and attracting these four talented attorneys is a clear result of these efforts."

The expansion of Hanson Bridgett's healthcare practice in the Sacramento area is a reflection of industry stability despite the economic downturn. These lateral hires allow Hanson Bridgett to enhance the firm's overall expertise in healthcare, specifically in the acute care hospital, long-term care and senior care industries, within the region.

"The addition of Jan, Win and Jim to Hanson Bridgett will complement our firm's already well-known and respected healthcare practice and allow us to better serve our clients, especially in the Sacramento area," said Healthcare Practice Group Chair Paul Gordon.

"By joining Hanson Bridgett, we are able to provide our clients with a greater array of services," said Jan Eisenbeis, managing partner of Hunter Richey & Eisenbeis, LLP. "We will continue to give our clients the same excellent legal advice, backed by the full resources of the Hanson Bridgett firm."

These attorneys represent significant growth for Hanson Bridgett's Sacramento office. "In addition to the firm's goals related to its core practice areas, we have looked for meaningful and viable opportunities to expand the firm's Sacramento office," said Bill Taylor, who heads up the firm's Sacramento office. "The addition of these experienced attorneys allows us to significantly ramp up the healthcare profile of Hanson Bridgett in this market."
