Angela Clements is an experienced attorney who focuses on labor and employment law. Angela is passionate about helping businesses, non-profits, and public agencies manage their best asset -- their people.

Angela proactively counsels employers on hiring, performance management, wage and hour law, discharge, reductions in force, management of leaves of absence and severance, and other personnel policies. Angela regularly provides training to employers on best practices to successfully manage a modern workplace, including how to prevent and correct sexual harassment.

Angela has also successfully handled dozens of employment litigation matters in federal and state court and before administrative bodies such as the California Public Employment Relations Board, Labor Commissioner, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Angela maintains an active pro bono practice, including successfully winning asylum on behalf of victims of domestic violence and LGBT refugees fleeing persecution in their countries of origin.

Prior to joining the firm, Angela was counsel for the Berkeley Law Center on Health, Economic & Family Security where she developed model legislation for national paid family leave. During law school, she served as a law clerk in the City Attorney's Office of the City and County of San Francisco and at the East Bay Community Law Center. She previously served as a senior legislative advocate at the Human Rights Campaign in Washington, D.C.
