Everett’s litigation practice focuses on data privacy and intellectual property disputes and counseling, two areas in which his technical background as an electrical engineer join with his legal experience to serve clients in a range of complex matters.

Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Everett worked as an alumni coach with University of San Francisco's Moot Court Program, where he coached teams of students and prepared them for competition, researched issues in trademark law, appellate procedure, and remedies to prepare as a practice judge. He also has experience researching issues of law practice management and ethics of advertising estate planning services.

While in law school, Everett was a senior editor of University of San Francisco's Maritime Law Journal and a survey editor of University of San Francisco's Intellectual Property Law Bulletin. He also worked as a research assistant, where he researched and edited law review articles, researched policies, and assisted in oral argument preparation.

Everett is an Adjunct Professor at USF teaching Information Privacy Law.
