Compostmodern 2011
Fertile Ground for Designing a Sustainable Future

Compostmodern is a biennial, interdisciplinary conference for leaders, strategists, and designers who are dedicated to pursuing sustainable design solutions. The event seeks to cultivate sustainable design through inspiration, collaboration, and engagement. Compostmodern convenes designers and sustainability professionals, facilitates conversations that share inspiration and knowledge, and creates a space to explore collaborations that transform products, industries and lives.

The first day will showcase an engaging line-up of people doing great things in their fields and communities. We will experience main stage presentations from visionaries including Bruce Mau – author of Massive Change, Yves Behar – designer of One Laptop Per Child's $100 laptop, Scott Thomas – design director at Obama for America, Jenifer Willig – global CMO at (RED), and Jonah Sachs – founder of Free Range Studios. The second day will follow an engaging format that asks attendees to aspire to greatness, advancing conversations about which they care. It’s going to be fast, fun and fulfilling.
