Hanson Bridgett's Sustainable Business Leadership Forum features monthly presentations and networking focused on advancing sustainable businesses. Past topics have included legislation, venture capital, cleantech, green building, microfinance and energy management among others. These topics are complimented with expert speakers from various sectors of the sustainable movement to discuss private/public sector initiatives, political advocacy, and corporate social responsibility. At our forums, you will get in-depth information about the opportunities, challenges, and profits associated with going green. The forum provides attendees the opportunity to learn and connect with like-minded business people who can help you advance your venture or area of interest in the sustainability movement.
If you have interest in a topic that you would like to see covered at an upcoming Sustainable Business Forum, please submit suggestions to HBSustainable@HansonBridgett.com.
Upcoming August Forum:
Our August Forum will feature speaker Adam Werbach, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi S and author of the upcoming book Strategy for Sustainability, to be published by Harvard Business Press in July 2009. Werbach is widely known as one of the foremost experts in sustainability strategy. In 1996, at age 23, Werbach was elected the youngest-ever President of the Sierra Club, the oldest and largest environmental organization in the United States. Since then, Werbach has declared environmentalism dead, built and sold three companies, and merged with global ideas company Saatchi & Saatchi to create the world's largest sustainability agency, Saatchi & Saatchi S.

MPA Momentum Grows; Dual Degree in Sustainable Management
Summer has been busy at Presidio, as momentum around the Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Sustainable Management continues to grow. As the first and only MPA that has sustainability integrated into every course, the program has gained interest from practitioners, academics and students alike. Presidio is also giving students the unique opportunity to earn a dual degree in Sustainable Management, combining the MPA and MBA programs.
The MPA program faculty has grown to include Deniz Zeynep Leuenberger, Ph.D, a leader in the field of sustainable public management and development. The author of many articles on sustainable development and strategic planning, Dr. Leuenberger recently co-authored the book Sustainable Development in Public Administration.
The program's timeliness has been further emphasized by President Obama's call for sound environmental and sustainable economic policies. We are accepting applications for the Fall 2009 semester for the MPA and dual MPA/MBA. For those interested in joining this inaugural cohort, information about the program and admissions process can be found on our site. You can also email our admissions team at: email@example.com.
