Most people think that if they are smart or aware, they can avoid unconscious bias entirely—but this is the wrong approach. Unconscious bias affects everyone, often in ways that are difficult to detect. This session, presented by Hanson Bridgett’s Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, Jennifer Martinez will introduce the multiple different types of unconscious bias and how they work, will examine how bias impacts workplaces, and will share strategies for confronting and minimizing bias.
