Intro
Anita has more than 18 years of experience helping clients finance, acquire, develop, manage, lease, and sell commercial and other real property interests. She handles a broad range of real estate and corporate transactions that spans commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions; mortgage backed financings; HUD insured financings for non-profit and for-profit clients; leasing, subleasing, and licensing arrangements; joint ventures; corporate formation; private equity and financings; debt financings; corporate mergers and acquisitions; and tax exempt bond financings.
A significant portion of Anita’s practice represents borrowers in the financing of intermediate and skilled-care nursing homes, assisted living facilities and board and care residences, and age restricted low income housing projects insured under the National Housing Act, including Sections 223(a)(7), 223(f), 232, 241, and 242. Anita is a seasoned borrower’s counsel for HUD insured financings.
Anita represents a variety of clients in all aspects of operation and for various transactional needs, from non-profit and tax exempt entities, to large institutional investors, to start-up and emerging growth companies. She is a practical and creative problem-solver focused on getting deals done. While Anita's clients range in industry, she works with many owners and operators of skilled nursing, assisted living, and other senior housing companies in transactional and general corporate and regulatory matters. Anita is passionate about leading deal teams and bringing out the best in people while crafting transactions (large and small) to help clients reach their business goals.
