FPPC Extends Deadline for Form 700 Filings to June 1, 2020

FPPC Extends Deadline for Form 700 Filings to June 1, 2020

The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) has issued a 60-day extension to the deadline for filing a 2019 Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700). This extension applies to any official previously required to file by April 1 pursuant to Commission Regulations 18723 and 18730. Those officials now have until June 1 to file a timely Form 700. Those who have access to the Form 700 electronic filing system are encouraged to file electronically. Otherwise, Form 700s postmarked on or before June 1 will be considered filed on time.

The FPPC does encourage officials to file as soon as they are able. The FPPC has closed its advice telephone line until further notice but is accepting questions via email at Form700@fppc.ca.gov. A copy of the FPPC’s press release is available here.
