Daily Journal Names Hanson Bridgett Partner Sandra Rappaport Top Labor & Employment Lawyer
August 7, 2024 (San Francisco, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP is proud to announce that Daily Journal has named partner Sandra Rappaport one of the 2024 Top Labor & Employment Lawyers in California. The list recognizes California's leading attorneys who have made significant contributions to labor and employment law.
Among Rappaport's achievements, Daily Journal noted her nearly decade-long representation of Leprino Foods Company, the world's largest mozzarella cheesemaker, in litigating several wage-and-hour class actions where the plaintiffs sought more than $100 million for alleged unpaid wages. She ultimately secured a unanimous defense verdict after a month-long jury trial.

As a result, these cases are often settled and rarely go to trial, and it's extremely gratifying to be able to defend them aggressively and so successfully."
In addition to her trial prowess in wage and hour and employment litigation, Rappaport was further praised for her proven track record of winning arbitrations in union-related grievances, and she anticipates this work will continue to ramp up with the surge of union activity in new industries. Rappaport has a similar track record resolving complex human resources-related issues through her robust counseling and consulting practice.
