Hanson Bridgett Named to Working Mother's 60 Best Law Firms for Women, Inaugural Hall of Fame

July 17, 2019 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) — Working Mother announced the 2019 Working Mother 60 Best Law Firms for Women, recognizing firms leading the industry in creating and leveraging best practices in retaining and promoting women lawyers. Hanson Bridgett has been selected for this year's list of top 60 firms—which includes firms ranging in sizes from 59 attorneys to 2,155 attorneys. The firm ranked 2nd overall for the percentage of women equity partners (38%) and 2nd overall for women associates (61%).

This will be the 10th year in a row that Hanson Bridgett has been selected for this prestigious list. As a result, the firm has been named to Working Mother's Inaugural Hall of Fame for the Best Law firms for Women Initiative—one of just 17 total firms—and will be honored at the awards luncheon in September.

The full list of the 2019 Working Mother Best Law Firms for Women is posted here and includes highlights on representation of women and women of color in key leadership roles, usage and promotion rates for reduced-hour lawyers, and more. Working Mother worked in collaboration with the ABA Journal as a knowledge partner.

This honor comes on the heels of Hanson Bridgett ranking #2 for Best Firms For Female Attorneys and #3 for the Best Firms For Female Partners on Law360's Glass Ceiling report among firms consisting of 150-299 lawyers.

Hanson Bridgett is committed to supporting diversity and inclusion in all forms. Earlier this year, the firm announced its annual partnership class, where six of the seven partner attorneys announced were women. Additionally, four of the firm's seven section groups are currently led by women.

In 2010, it established HBWIN, which brings together all women attorneys in the firm—including summer associates—for regular meetings and events, providing support through opportunities for leadership training, mentoring, and client development as they advance through their careers.
