Hanson Bridgett Names Raffi Zerounian as Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow

March 2, 2020 (San Francisco, CA) – Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) member Hanson Bridgett LLP is proud to announce that Partner Raffi Zerounian has been selected for the 2020 LCLD Fellows program.

Raffi joins a group of over 300 mid-career lawyers from across the country who are from diverse backgrounds and have been recognized for their high potential as leaders in their organization and the legal profession. Raffi is Hanson Bridgett’s 10th Fellow, and Hanson Bridgett has been a part of the LCLD program since its launch in 2011. Each Fellow participates in a year-long multi-tiered professional development program to learn from top leaders in the legal field. "Hanson Bridgett focuses to improve the diversity of our legal communities by supporting and mentoring diverse law school students and lawyers. Participating in LCLD's Fellows Program is one of the many steps we take each year to create and sustain diversity in the legal profession," said André Campbell, partner and chair of Hanson Bridgett's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

“It's an honor to represent Hanson Bridgett in the LCLD Fellows Program. The program has been a great opportunity to meet attorneys from diverse backgrounds who are working hard to continue to improve their legal and leadership skills. I am thankful for Hanson Bridgett’s continued efforts to improve diversity in the legal profession through its support of LCLD and other diversity initiatives," said Raffi Zerounian, partner in Hanson Bridgett's Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Founded in 2009, LCLD is a nationwide organization of more than 300 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who are personally committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The Fellows Program is one of LCLD’s most important initiatives built to increase diversity at the leadership levels of the nation’s law firms and corporate legal departments. LCLD President Robert J. Grey, Jr. states the LCLD Fellows Program offers participants “a year-long, in-depth program devoted to relationship-building, in-person training, peer-group projects, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and the best teachers in the business.” Fellows will be challenged to improve their professional brand, build relationships that enhance professional development, and sharpen stewardship and leadership skills.

The LCLD Fellows Program has trained more than 1,600 mid-career attorneys since 2011. LCLD Chair of the Executive Committee Ellen Dwyer states, "We must begin by challenging each other as leaders to make a personal commitment to know, sponsor, and instill confidence in our diverse lawyers that they can realize their professional ambitions in our organizations. Our work will begin—not end—when our Fellows and Pathfinders return to us from LCLD's outstanding programs. In a larger sense, it will be our mission, as Members of LCLD, to answer the call of history, to make our profession, once and for all, as diverse as the nation we serve."
