Hanson Bridgett Partner Jonathan Storper Named to MO 100 Top Impact CEO List

April 7, 2022 (San Francisco, CA)Hanson Bridgett LLP, an AmLaw 200 law firm serving all of California and beyond, is pleased to announce Partner Jonathan Storper's inclusion in the MO 100 Top Impact CEO Rankings, the first list to honor the 100 most impactful leaders sparking positive environmental and social change. Storper has long been at the forefront in this space as he founded and led the firm's sustainable business practice group and chaired the legal working group which drafted and advocated for benefit corporation legislation in California, the first triple-bottom line corporate form.

Unlike other lists that rank impact-minded companies, the MO 100 shines a spotlight on momentum-fueled executives who are leveraging the engine of capitalism to create shared prosperity. These agents of change champion a new vision for the economic system, demonstrating that every transaction represents an opportunity to create positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

As a group, the CEOs listed on the MO 100 represent the most consequential leaders in the most dynamic segment of the economy. Big Path calculates each executive’s “Force for Good” score for the ranking based on a formula accounting for the company’s scale via its total revenue, its growth via revenue growth rates, and its positive impact on people and planet via the B Impact Score, a standard developed by B Lab to assess a company’s true impact.

"I am truly honored to be among such a distinguished list of leaders in this space," said Storper. "Our firm's core values have always placed a strong emphasis on sustainability and being a good corporate citizen. Personally, I have focused my career on helping my clients do the most good. This work is truly a passion of mine."

This honor comes on the heels of the firm's recertification as a B Corporation by B Lab for the sixth consecutive term. The firm was a founding B Corp member as well as the first law firm to become a B Corp back in 2007. It has maintained its certification continuously for 15 years and is currently one of only 39 law firms on the list of nearly 5,000 companies that achieve certification.

Storper previously led the corporate department at Hanson Bridgett and founded and led the firm's sustainable law practice, which focuses on developing a more sustainable economy by assisting mission driven companies and high impact investors in a variety of industries. He represents entities and their investors in connection with business and intellectual property transactions, including formation, finance, contracts, licenses, joint venture and development, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, e-commerce, technology-related matters and general corporate law. He also represents many non-profit charities, foundations, and business associations. Over the years, Storper has received many accolades including being named the California Lawyer of the Year by California Lawyer Magazine. He is a sought after speaker and writer and very active in his community.

The MO 100 Awards Gala will be hosted on April 19th during the MO 2022 Summit, which takes place from April 19 – 20, 2022 in Portland, Oregon. The Summit will focus on regeneration and innovating new rules for a new, more sustainable future. View the full 2022 MO 100 ranking here.
