This is the second time Hanson Bridgett has received this award. The firm first received this award in 2003.

"We are so very honored to receive this award from CMCP given our longstanding partnership," said Hanson Bridgett's Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer Jennifer Martinez. "It's extremely gratifying for our commitment to DEI to be recognized and celebrated, especially from the preeminent organization for diverse California attorneys. We hope our focus on and dedication to DEI challenges other firms to up their game."

Robert White, CMCP's Executive Director noted, "We and the legal community are grateful recipients for the leadership the firm has shown in driving principles of diversity, equity and inclusion in the firm and in the support you have shown to CMCP through your generosity and the active engagement of your attorneys."

According to CMCP, Hanson Bridgett was selected for the award for its consistent efforts to attract and retain diverse talent and develop diverse attorneys to partner and for the firm's extensive commitment and support for DEI to a broad community of legal organizations.

Named after the California attorney who dedicated her career to achieving equal opportunity and access in the justice system, the Drucilla Stender Ramey Majority-Owned Law Firm Award is annually given to the CMCP majority-owned law firm that has demonstrated the strongest commitment to diversity and inclusion. The award is based on the firm’s culture of inclusivity, its prioritization of diversity initiatives, and its commitment to giving back to the community, as well as the number and percent of minority attorneys within the firm and those who occupy leadership roles.
