Jake works directly with the firm’s General Counsel. He focuses his practice on legal ethics and professional responsibility, bringing deep familiarity with the California Rules of Professional Conduct, the State Bar Act, and related regulatory frameworks. He has supported legal professionals across practice areas and firm sizes on ethics matters ranging from conflicts of interest to advertising compliance, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
Before joining the firm, Jake served as a Senior Program Analyst in the Office of Professional Competence at the State Bar of California, where he was a core member of the Ethics Hotline team and handled thousands of calls annually from attorneys seeking real-time guidance. He also led internal projects including the development of a Succession Planning Guide and a comprehensive index of California ethics opinions.
