Intro
Tara is a legal partner to and collaborator with developers, builders, and property owners to help them build residential, commercial, and mixed-use common interest and commercial real estate developments in California’s highly-regulated real estate industry. Tara provides comprehensive legal counsel to clients throughout the lifecycle of a wide array of projects, from large-scale and boutique residential condominiums to mixed-use planned communities, high-rise mixed-use developments, industrial and commercial parks, senior living residences and facilities, affordable housing, and cohousing.
Tara guides clients through the process of securing local and state project approvals. She assists clients form governing associations and maintenance structure for common interest developments, non-common interest developments, neighboring properties with shared uses, shopping centers, and other real property structures by preparing governing documents, preparing agreements for joint use and shared maintenance, and helping to resolve clients’ title insurance concerns.
Additionally, Tara offers strategic advice on compliance with key real estate laws, including the Subdivision Map Act, Subdivided Lands Act, Davis-Stirling Common Interest Development Act, Commercial and Industrial Common Interest Development Act, and the Right to Repair Law (SB 800).
