Celebrating the Season of Giving: Our Proud Culture of Giving Back
Lifting Up Our Partners
Investing in our local California communities and owning our responsibility to help better them is just one of the reasons we love this time of year at Hanson Bridgett. We get to highlight the ways in which these organizations are effecting change and how we collaborate and contribute to them. From our pro bono services to our matching gift program and our Women’s Impact Network (WIN) Annual Holiday Marketplace, the season of giving is upon us, and we’re proud to celebrate our culture of giving back.
Last week, we took the opportunity to spotlight a different organizations that we support each day. Their values are near and dear to our hearts, and with the help of our attorneys, professional staff, and extended networks, we work to amplify their mission and help them raise funds through our charitable gift-matching program.
The Arc San Francisco
Kevin and Dawn are two Hanson Bridgett employees whose contributions here are invaluable. They lift up our Support Services teams and bring smiles to our faces daily. They were originally hired through our long-time partnership with the nonprofit, The Arc San Francisco, utilizing the organization’s job-placement service. Kevin has been a steadfast member of our Office Services team for 18 years!
“What I see in Kevin—he’s very eager to take on new challenges, new projects, and with each different project and task, we give him, he gets it done with flying colors,” explained Renniel Santos, Kevin and Dawn’s Job Coach who serves as a career coach. “I feel supported here,” said Dawn, who has worked here for nearly six years. “I try not to rush and make sure I get the job done right, and Kevin helps me or I call down to Office Services when I need support.”
WIN Holiday Marketplace
On Wednesday, the San Francisco office buzzed with excitement as the Women’s Impact Network (WIN) hosted its Annual Holiday Marketplace. This festive event combined holiday cheer with purpose, featuring women- and minority-owned local businesses selling gifts to our employees and guests.
Proceeds from the marketplace supported HealthRIGHT 360’s Women’s Hope program, which provides wraparound services such as parenting counseling, therapy, and substance use disorder support for women in need. The event not only raised funds but also reinforced our commitment to supporting small businesses and uplifting our communities.
Honoring Our Pro Bono Partners
As the Giving Season comes to a close, we took time to recognize our pro bono partners, whose work provides essential legal services to underserved populations. Organizations like Bay Area Legal Aid, Legal Aid of Marin, and Kids in Need of Defense reflect our commitment to advancing equity and justice for all. These partnerships allow our attorneys to use their expertise to create meaningful change for individuals and communities in need.
As we reflect on the success of this year’s Giving Season, we are reminded that generosity doesn’t end with the holidays. At Hanson Bridgett, our commitment to community impact is a year-round endeavor, fueled by the passion and engagement of our team.
