WATCH NOW: Belonging at Hanson Bridgett
It’s Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Heritage Month. We’re proud to spotlight Mohammad Walizadeh: Management Committee member. Real Estate Litigation practice group leader. DEI champion.
April is MENA Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the rich culture, traditions, contributions, and history of Middle Eastern and North African Americans. At Hanson Bridgett, a number of our MENA attorneys will participate in a panel discussion today titled, “What it Means to be MENA,” where they’ll each discuss their own cultural backgrounds and shine a light on some of their shared cultural experiences within the MENA community – inside and outside of the firm.
Among those on the panel is Mohammad Walizadeh, who leads our Real Estate Litigation practice and has been with us since 2004. Over the past two decades, he’s built a meaningful career anchored in complex real estate and general litigation matters — issues that touch nearly every aspect of business and life, especially in California, from contracts and development to bankruptcies and employment.
As Mohammad explains, he grew his career organically, learning and evolving alongside the growing practice group, and has developed strong and genuine connections with clients. While his legal acumen is clear, it’s his reflections on mentorship, identity, and progress that resonate most as to why he feels such a strong sense of belonging at Hanson Bridgett.
“Hanson Bridgett places emphasis on the recognition of each person as an individual,” he said, underscoring the value of treating everyone – both internally and externally – with genuine respect. We look forward to learning more about Mohammad’s story as we continue to celebrate MENA Heritage Month, honoring the cultures and communities that have helped shape our colleagues.
