Eyes Wide Shut: Seeing Past Implicit Bias

Most people think that if they are smart or aware, they can avoid implicit or unconscious bias entirely—but this is the wrong approach. Implicit bias affects everyone, often in ways that are difficult to detect. This session, presented by Hanson Bridgett’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, Jennifer Martinez will introduce the multiple different types of implicit bias and how they work, will examine how bias impacts workplaces, and will share strategies for confronting and minimizing bias.
