Greg Reed Named Transportation and Logistics Practice Group Leader at Hanson Bridgett

Partner Greg Reed’s industry thought leadership and cross-practice collaboration continue to strengthen the firm’s transportation capabilities

SAN FRANCISCO – June 9, 2026 – Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce that partner Gregory R. Reed has been named Transportation and Logistics practice group leader.

The appointment comes just over a year after Reed joined the firm and reflects both the visibility he has built within the transportation industry through thought leadership, client education, and engagement with key regulatory and policy developments, and the firm’s expanding ability to support transportation and logistics clients across a range of interconnected legal and business challenges.

Since joining Hanson Bridgett in April 2025, Reed has become a frequent commentator on transportation law and policy issues, providing analysis on evolving Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, commercial transportation compliance requirements, and developments affecting transportation suppliers and contractors. His insights have been featured in a range of publications, including the Wall Street Journal, FreightWaves, and Overdrive, helping clients and industry stakeholders navigate a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.

Reed has also helped expand the firm’s transportation-focused educational programming, leading webinars and client discussions on topics ranging from driver qualification requirements and transportation liability to federal policy developments affecting transportation suppliers.

“Greg has quickly established himself as a trusted voice on transportation issues and an outstanding resource for clients navigating complex regulatory and operational challenges,” said Kristina Lawson, managing partner of Hanson Bridgett. “His ability to connect emerging industry developments with practical legal guidance has elevated our visibility in the transportation sector and strengthened the value we provide to clients.”

Reed’s practice focuses on litigation, regulatory strategy, and legislative advocacy for transportation and logistics clients, including motor carriers, brokers, shippers, and government contractors. He regularly collaborates with attorneys across the firm’s practices — including government law, labor and employment, environmental law, and litigation — to help clients address issues that increasingly cross traditional legal disciplines.

“Transportation is an ever-changing, multi-practice industry,” Reed said. “For a law firm to effectively represent a transportation company, it needs deep expertise across a wide range of disciplines, which is why Hanson Bridgett is a natural fit for my practice and for the transportation and logistics clients we support. I am excited to continue leveraging my colleagues’ knowledge to deliver practical, business‑focused solutions for clients navigating complex, multi‑disciplinary challenges.

Hanson Bridgett’s transportation attorneys advise a broad range of domestic and international transportation and logistics clients, including motor, maritime, rail, passenger transportation, air cargo and household goods companies, as well as brokers, intermediaries and logistics providers.
