Hanson Bridgett to Host Global Water-Tech Innovators and Industry Leaders at WaterVent in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO — Oct. 22, 2025 — Hanson Bridgett LLP will bring together more than 40 water-tech startups and innovators alongside major water-intensive industry organizations — including public utilities and high water-use corporations — for a one-day forum focused on water efficiency, quality, and sustainability. WaterVent matches innovators with funding partners and water users, and will take place this Friday, Oct. 24, aboard the historic Klamath ferryboat at Pier 9 in San Francisco.
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) President Joshua Arce are expected to welcome attendees, as panels of leading water-tech startups, corporate users, and industry experts share insights on driving innovation, sustainability, and investment across the global water sector.
"This is a truly unique, international event that unites leading voices in water innovation and connects visionary entrepreneurs with public utilities, corporate and industry water users, investors, and incubators to turn breakthrough ideas into real-world solutions for some of the industry's toughest challenges," said Jonathan Storper, a partner at Hanson Bridgett and one of the speakers at the event.
Allison Schutte, the firm's government section leader and partner, echoed that enthusiasm. "As a water infrastructure attorney and legal counsel to the 26 wholesale water customers of the San Francisco Regional Water System, I am excited to hear from entrepreneurs tackling water delivery and treatment who are committed to breaking through, bringing products to market, and scaling," she explained. "It’s usually a long, bumpy road to develop new water tech and to deliver water infrastructure, but events like WaterVent make it a lot more fun."
Now in its 32nd iteration, WaterVent (short for “Water Venture”) has become a leading international forum for advancing technologies in water treatment, reuse, monitoring, and conservation. Founded in Europe and hosted across major global cities, WaterVent provides an opportunity for early-stage companies and investors to explore scalable solutions for drought resilience, sustainable infrastructure, and climate adaptation.
