Hanson Bridgett Managing Partner Kristina Lawson Becomes Bay Area Council's New Board and Executive Committee Chair
July 19, 2023 (San Francisco, CA) – Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Kristina Lawson has become Chair of the Board and Executive Committee of the Bay Area Council. Lawson succeeds Kausik Rajgopal, Executive Vice President, People & Sourcing, PayPal, who served as Chair since 2021.

As Hanson Bridgett's chief executive, Lawson is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s strategy and management. She is the first female Managing Partner in Hanson Bridgett’s 60+ year history. Known in the legal industry and beyond as a progressive and collaborative leader, Lawson was named to the San Francisco Business Times 2023 Power 100 list of the Bay Area's most influential business leaders. Over the course of her career, Lawson has been deeply committed to public service. She is a former Mayor of the City of Walnut Creek, and was appointed by both Governor Brown and Governor Newsom to serve on the Medical Board of California, where she currently serves as the Board’s President.
