Hanson Bridgett Partners Appointed to Association of California Water Agencies
February 15, 2024 (San Francisco, CA) - Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce that partners David Cameron and Claire Collins have been appointed to the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) Legal Affairs Committee. Cameron is representing Region 7 (Tulare and Kern Counties), and Collins is representing Region 10 (Orange and San Diego Counties). Both partners represent their respective regions while also serving as general counsel for ACWA members.
"The Legal Affairs Committee provides a wonderful opportunity to work with lawyers across the state on the most pressing legal issues facing the water sector," said Collins, who will be serving her third term on the committee. "Hanson Bridgett is proud to continue to have lawyers from both Northern and Southern California on this important committee." Cameron is part of Hanson Bridgett's Sacramento office and Collins works out of both the Los Angeles and Costa Mesa locations.

The Legal Affairs Committee responds to legal matters of significance to ACWA member agencies. The committee members work with staff to produce publications that help member agencies comply with state and federal laws, filing amicus curiae briefs on important cases to the water sector, and offer commentary on proposed regulations and guidelines in water right matters of interest. Collins recently authored an amicus brief on behalf of ACWA and other statewide organizations in the matter of Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association v. Coachella Valley Water District.
