Hanson Bridgett Welcomes Jeremy Strauss as New Chief Human Resources Officer

April 3, 2023 (San Francisco, CA) - Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce that Jeremy Strauss has joined the firm as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Strauss (who was most recently the Vice President and Head of Human Resources at NEC Corporation of America) takes over for Mary Sherman who was the firm's CHRO for 22 years and retired earlier this year.

Over the course of her 20-year career at NEC, Strauss held a variety of roles, including Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary; Associate General Counsel; and Director, Human Resources Business Partnering & Employee Relations.  Prior to joining NEC, Strauss was an associate at two mid-sized law firms. In addition to her leadership roles at NEC, Strauss served as the Executive Director of NEC Foundation of America, NEC's corporate foundation focused on creating social value and helping advance human potential through technology and innovative giving programs.  

She received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and her J.D. from  McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. Strauss has also been active in the community, serving as a Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of San Francisco Court Appointed Special Advocates (SF CASA) and in various leadership roles in the San Francisco Bay Area Association of Corporate Counsel.
