Cara is a corporate transactional attorney with more than three decades of experience advising emerging and middle market companies, high-net-worth individuals, and private family offices across a broad range of industries, including real estate, technology, manufacturing, and financial services.
Cara’s practice spans the full lifecycle of a business enterprise, often serving as outside counsel on general corporate, contract, operational and governance matters. She counsels clients on equity and debt financings, represents both buyers and sellers in sophisticated M&A transactions and advises owners and investors on establishing and managing ownership complexities, including buy-sell structures, resolution of difficult ownership disputes and intricate equity restructurings in privately held companies, in both adversarial and collaborative settings.
Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett LLP, she founded her own firm, Pivot Law PC, which she ran for nearly 12 years. Before founding her own firm, Cara was a partner at Lubin Olson Niewiadomski LLP, where she practiced for 18 years and served as Managing Partner for three years.
