Intro

In the firm's Labor & Employment section, Kendall defends employers in litigation and advises clients on all areas of compliance with employment laws, as well as data privacy matters related to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). She defends clients against various employment claims, including allegations of wage and hour violations (both class actions and single plaintiff matters), wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. She has won motions in state and federal court, including demurrers and motions for summary judgment.

In addition, Kendall is an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) and is experienced in conducting impartial workplace investigations for a range of clients, including public agencies and private employers. She also developed a workplace investigations training program that we offer to employers of all scales, which focuses on best practices for investigations from intake to report writing.

Kendall brings a unique understanding of the real-life, daily experiences of employers and their day-to-day operations and management of employees. Before law school, Kendall worked at one of the world’s largest coffee chains for over three years as both a supervisor and a barista. This unique perspective allows Kendall to effectively litigate and resolve employer-employee disputes.

Kendall is committed to providing pro bono legal services. She is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and regularly participates in a variety of pro bono projects both in Sacramento and throughout California. She recently obtained a favorable bond order for an individual who had been held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention for nearly two years without a bond hearing.
