Hanson Bridgett Adds Experienced Labor and Employment Partner in Los Angeles

May 22, 2023 (Los Angeles, CA) - Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to announce that Sonia Salinas has joined the firm's Los Angeles office as a partner in the Labor & Employment Practice. Most recently a partner at Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo, Salinas represents clients in a in a wide range of labor and employment matters, including litigation of wrongful discharge; race, gender, and disability discrimination/harassment; retaliation; wage and hour claims (including class actions and FLSA collective actions); and claims involving non-compete agreements. Salinas also provides advice and counsel to clients on employee discipline, leaves of absence, and employee handbooks and personnel policies.

Salinas has a diverse client base, including public entities, multi-national corporations, hospital systems, health care providers, nonprofit entities, small businesses and individuals. Over the course of her 17-year career, she has successfully litigated a variety of complex employment matters in venues across California. Salinas is a member of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association (where she was a former Board Member and President) and is also a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Mexican American Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association. She received her B.S., with honors, from the University of California, Riverside and her J.D., cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Loyola Law School.  Following law school, Salinas served as a Law Clerk for then-Magistrate Judge Suzanne H. Segal, United States District Court, Central District of California. Prior to her legal career, she was a Children’s Social Worker and Dependency Investigator for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
