Hanson Bridgett Launches San Diego Expansion with Addition of Health Care Partner Natalie Mueller
SAN DIEGO – July 14, 2025 – Hanson Bridgett LLP is deepening its health care bench and expanding its statewide reach with the addition of Natalie V. Mueller as a partner. Mueller’s addition coincides with the launch of the firm's official presence in San Diego and a forthcoming office. Planting a flag in San Diego further enhances Hanson Bridgett’s all-California strategy – providing sophisticated legal services in every major legal and economic hub within the state.
Based in San Diego, Mueller most recently served as a principal counsel for University of California San Diego Health. She brings over a decade of experience advising hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers on complex medical staff and operational matters. She joins the firm ahead of the planned opening of its new San Diego office, which will be led by newly appointed San Diego Market Leader Stuart L. Eisler.

Mueller regularly advises medical staff clients on navigating complex, time-sensitive credentialing and privileging decisions, medical staff investigations, peer review, and during the fair hearing process. She has extensive experience drafting and revising medical staff governing documents, and advising on peer review, professionalism and practitioner conduct, and practitioner health and well-being issues. Mueller’s arrival reflects Hanson Bridgett’s strategic commitment to San Diego and the sectors that matter most to the region.

Prior to her position at UCSDH, Mueller was an attorney at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP, where she represented hospitals, academic medical centers, health care systems, ambulatory surgery centers, and Native American health clinics in a broad range of peer review and governance matters.
Mueller earned her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego and her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
