Born in Sonoma County and raised in the Sierra Nevada Gold Country, Jasun brings his love for California and experience with family-owned business to his practice representing multi-generational California family-owned businesses in regulated industries and otherwise. Jasun has built his legal practice through representation of a wide array of business entities, including waste management companies, contractors, bars/nightclubs, landowners, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, cultivators and private individuals in litigation and in complex daily transactions. Since 2008, Jasun has developed extensive experience representing California cannabis businesses and continues to remain dedicated to serving the cannabis industry, its brave pioneers and future leaders.

During law school, Jasun served internships with the Amador County District Attorney’s Office; San Francisco District Attorney’s Office – Felony Gang Violence Unit; and Queen’s County (NY) District Attorney’s Office – Homicide Investigations.

After law school, Jasun first worked for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office (Writs & Appeals) where he was asked to edit the City’s amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in the seminal medical marijuana patients’/states’ rights case, United States v. Oakland Cannabis Buyers’ Cooperative (2001) 532 U.S. 483. And just prior to entering the civil practice of law, Jasun clerked for U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of CA, Robert S. Mueller III (currently serving as Special Counsel to the Russian Interference Investigation).

Jasun earned a B.S. in Economics from St. Mary’s College of California, where he was a student athlete as part of the Gaels’ NCAA Intercollegiate football team. Jasun remains active in the Walnut Creek community where he has lived and worked for over 20 years by participating in community clean up days, youth sports organizations and other volunteer efforts including his recent appointment to the Contra Costa Library Commission as Walnut Creek Commissioner.
