Matthew represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters, with particular experience navigating arbitration, litigation, compliance, and workforce training. With a strong foundation in both federal and state employment law, he partners with clients to proactively manage risk and resolve disputes effectively.
Matthew has handled all aspects of management-side labor arbitrations, including discovery, witness preparation, settlement negotiations, opening and closing arguments, direct and cross-examinations, and post-hearing briefs. He has successfully represented clients before federal and state courts, as well as agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
In addition to litigation, Matthew advises clients on workplace policies and compliance, including drafting and updating employee handbooks and policy statements. He regularly conducts training sessions for both employees and management — delivered in English and Spanish — on critical topics such as union avoidance, anti-harassment, and annual legal updates.
