Michael is an associate in the firm’s government section. Most recently, he served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Tort and Condemnation Section of the California Department of Justice, where he started his legal career though the Attorney General’s Honors Program. In his practice, he represented state agencies and employees in complex civil litigation involving land acquisition, property disputes, constitutional claims, and related tort matters. His experience includes advising on permitting, land use, and valuation issues arising from water conveyance, flood control, and habitat restoration projects, and managing litigation, negotiations, and appeals in state and federal courts.
