Intro
Jan represents all categories of health care providers, including hospitals, home health agencies, hospice organizations, skilled nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, clinics, and other health care facilities. She frequently advises clients on operational issues related to regulatory compliance and risk management, and assists them with responses to federal and state regulatory enforcement actions. She also helps clients prepare and file state and federal application forms to effect changes of ownership, the addition of new licenses or programs, or to report changes to existing licenses and certifications.
Jan has been active in the California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF) for many years. Prior to practicing law, she was a licensed nursing home administrator for a 120-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by a California multi-facility organization, where she later directed the operations of its convalescent division.

California Hospital System. Assisted a large California Hospital System with the state and federal regulatory filings required to report a governance restructure.
California Acute Care Hospitals. Assisted several acute care hospitals with regulatory filings to add new programs; Regulatory filings to license new replacement hospitals required due to seismic compliance.
California multi-facility skilled nursing facility. Assisted several California multi-facility skilled nursing facility operators with responses to regulatory enforcement actions and address issues related to federal state and federal regulatory compliance.
Hospice and Home Health provider. Assisted a hospice and home health provider with multiple hospice and home health locations with the state and federal regulatory filings required to report a governance restructure.
